hmm... apparently, the best way to reduce cholesterol is actually by eating oily fish (rich in omega 3)... but don't stuff in prawns and the other shellfish, they are high cholesterol food... also eat plenty fruits for beaooooooooooootiful complexion... :D

For men, your daily consumption of calories is around 32X ur weight in kg and for women, your daily consumption of calories is around 28X ur weight in kg

Hey, not ritelah the machine.
Based on ur measurement, your BMI is 19.5 which is below the normal range of 20 to 25 lah...which means u r underweight.... :)
So, no need to loose any weight...what u got to do is to eat less fatty food, ok....

I always see posting that members going for teh-tarik & etc. It is not healthy as it contained too much sugar in condensed milk. I use to drink it every night. I realised that I am putting on weight. I decided not drink it after dinner & I managed to maintain my weight again.
The fastest way to grow thin for me
1) Dengue Fever -14lbs in 2 weeks;
2) Chicken Pox -9lbs in 10days
Please not that no extra effort required.

Yes! It is not a nice way to lose weight but it is really effective.
Dengue fever will not stay with you for life. There is a lot of sign that will indicate dengue fever. Check it out from the net.

Caution, though, if anyone here is thinking of getting himself/herself bitten by the Aedes mozzie....if you had haemorrhargic dengue, you will not only lose weight...you risk losing your life as well. Ask boss - his colleagues in early 30s passed away due to complications associated with dengue.

Not only deformity to the foetus but it may also blind the baby if it is excessive consume. The best person to consult is a nutritionist and not a doctor.

health talk is never an easy subjects.... doctors are great for lots of thing, but they are also human like everyone else, and they dispense advices based on their learning and experiences...
nutritionist will give good answers, but not necessarily THE expert in advising one what to eat or not... as the training for nutritionist are mostly not well regulated, and i DO know a nutritionist who tells everyone who sees her that they have lactose intolerant when it is not all true... i supposed she based on assumption that majority of people do have lactose intolerant once they past childhood (this is the wild type gene), but it is funny how this particular nutritionist thought she can get away with this kind of information...
do question your doctor if you are in doubt of anything.. don't just follow everything he/she says if your instinct is nagging at you... get more information, that's what they are for... just don't accuse them somethig along the line of "are you sure?".... instead, say "i am uncertain how this works, so could you please explain it to me?"....

FYI, A doctor complete their course in 6 years but the time used to study about nutrition is negligible as compare to a nutritionist take 3 years to study nutition. I do agree that their study is not so regulated. The good nutritionist can produce fascinating result.

want to know something else...? i can only speak for the course in my uni for med students... they study (i believe) only 1 year of pharmacology (and they're dispensing medications???!) while i've spent 3 years studying them as my undergraduate degree... and even then i'm not qualified as a pharmacist (so i am only a pharmacologist)...
anyway... last heard there's a new course for the med students so i hope they're taking on board the need for better drug understanding... i'm tired of hearing about doctors who prescribe antibiotics for just about everything (even common cold which is caused by viruses and not bacteria!) as resistance to antibiotics is now a very serious problem... if this continues, it'll be as if fleming didn't discover penicillin.... :(
