As I always believe whatever we do we do it from the bottom of our hearts. Dino, you are right, we owe alot to Daboss for this Forum. For without his initiatives in starting this Forum none of these catching-ups and bringing back of nostalgic memories would have been possible. The last round when AndrewH organised a meet-cucuan session, I was looking forward to belanja-ing him and wife just to say thank you to him but unfortunately he couldnt attend the makan session because at that time his parents, sis and bil were in town. There's always another time and I am looking forward to the next time/opportunity when I can also dine with him for reasons as mentioned above. I will try to look for that opportunity.

This time around I must thank AndrewH for taking the initiative to organise the makan session and Alka, Ah Jang and t-wei for so willingly taking time off to grace the occassion and for Ah Jang to take the photographs. These people are wonderful company. To get me to start talking needs some warming up or some jump-starting. To start talking just like that I think a bit susah-la. Well, Alka did the tea-serving. You know what on hind-sight, when Alka left earlier because of prior engagements, TK took over to serve tea. I shouldnt have allowed that because he was suppose to be our guest. But as a true, blue ACSian and despite the fact that he is a doctor (a surgeon) he very humbly and graciously served his former teachers especially Mr. Patrick. ACSians are suppose to be simple and humble people.

As for the presence of Mr. Patrick, what happen was a few days ago I heard from a friend that he is in town but because of my work schedule I forgot to call him. So on Friday morning the 1st thing I got into the office I called his mobile phone to check whether he was in town. He was actually on his way to KL, he was then somewhere in Bidor. I told him about the lunch date with a group of ex-ACSian students. He said he'll try to make it (meaning he wont come, knowing him). At around 11-00 am. I called his handphone again, he said he was already in Taman Maluri (meaning very far away from DP) and he said his auntie had already cooked for them (meaning dont want to come). I asked which Maluri he told me the one near Kepong. I told him not to give excuses for one Taman Bukit Maluri is very near my office and as for the auntie's cooking I suggested the auntie can put the food back in the fridge and save them for dinner. So the rest is history and anyway on his way to my office he lost his way and went up the Penchala link but he finally made it to my office. So you see life is full of surprises and put a little heart into what you do and you will find something interesting coming up. It was a pity the makan session was a short one for there was alot of catching up to do with Patrick. We laughed when Patrick related how he had to punish a sister of TK.

Oh yes, thanks to my Home Minister for so generously and graciously insisting that I should foot the bill instead of allowing Alka and AndrewH to pay for the lunch.

AndrewJPan, somehow you must understand my wife's and my feeling towards people like Godfather, Oddfather, Ah Jang (even though I've not taught her), TK (because he comes from afar), T-wei (I know her parents quite well and I am not sure whether I've taught her). Maybe because they find the time and take the trouble (in Hokkien you call it "u-sim") to join us. Maybe you call it alumni spirit in elderly member. Moreover Patrick was there. Since moving out to PJ he has yet to visit us. He got quite a good shelling from me giving excuses (like you :p ) for not being able to visit us. Put it this way this old man very happy to see the young ones growing up, especially those whom I have seen them during their school days, into very respectable persons in their various professions and what more seeing them with their wives and growing up children.

AndrewJPan, no big deal who pays. But then the next time when you are with us and when its pay-up time dont say you want to go to the toilet. Dont try old tricks on old-cock.:p

Firstly, I would like to say sorry for the long silence due to internet access. I am now at Coffee Bean for the broadband.

I can't thank enuff all who are involved in the makan; Mr and Mrs Ho, who initiate the event (and paying the bill:D ), Alka, who has been very helpful and help organise this as well, calling me numerous times. Siew Jang, thanks for the wonderful pictures to enable all to share the wonderful food (and you r right about HS, how did you find out?, just curious:p )I have finally met the oddfather, who brghtens up the already wonderful time. I also have finally met the one and only 'Hot Mama' t-wei (now have to visit her mamak stall more-lah). And our three surprise guests, Mr Patrick and co (hope he will join the forum now that he knows he has been mentioned many times here).

I apologise if I have inadvertently left out anyone. This forum has definitely achieved one of its main objectives, allowing all exACSians to aommunicate and create a sense of comunity spirit and fellowship. DaBoss, admins, moderators, ... have worked hard to look after this forum.

Vegs over there r cheaper compare to M'sia, and they're really fresh.......sports shoes too, especially those that r not the latest model r slightly cheaper than back here, plus all those Japanese cosmetics like Shiseido and Kose, much cheaper over there.....

Arrived safely liao yesterday.

I would like to say bye bye to all but always in forum in touch la, how to bye bye?
And before I left, I manage to attend the Oddfather's great party. Many thanks to him.
