Found an interesting website (UK based) that gives compensation stats for different qualifications, skill sets, job titles, sectors and countries (salary in sterling/annum).
Check this out if you want to find out:
i. whether you are adequately compensated for your present skill sets
(need to factor in cost of living of course)
ii. what is currently in hot demand
iii. how much newly acquired skill sets should add to your paycheck
