All these movies are not the type that makes 50million on opening day wan. I think Brokeback Mountain has limited release here in the States. Furthermore, BM i don't think can pass Malaysian Moral Censors....I think Capote got limited release as well.

and the story revolves around him writing his other book called in cold blood...
which was a book based on a family that was killed and he interviewed the killers...

Saw brokeback mountain last week in a cinema. To be honest, I didn't know anything about this movie before the show and boy, i wished i have checked. I saw the poster saying...'An epic American love story'. My colleague told me that it cannot be worse than the last movie we watched. Well, it was pretty close. We saw 'The New World' a few days ago, it was awful. It was not a comedy and I was struggling to contain myself from bursting out laughing. I couldn't believe I was sitting there watch that. No offence to those who like poetic movies.

Back to brokeback mountain, it was weird seeing 2 blokes going at it with each other. Both guys have their own family in this show but they just can't keep their hands off each other whenever they meet up. Hmm...

In spite of that, the movie does have lots of beautiful scenic scenes. Wonder where was it shot?

I was surprised that it was nominated for so many categories in the oscars. Maybe oscars are for intelligent people. I am just not one of them...

I would say it is good enough to win the Achievement in Cinematography category.

for a change, the movies are not just some big studio productions...
there are also a lot of issues dealt with in most of them...
