I am really looking forward to this weekend....its been a long and exhausting week, but I just have to say the antics of my daughters especially arwin thruout it has been just so darn endearing...

This week alone my wife has been calling me an average 1.5 times a day, but not because of anything important..rather Arwin had pestered her to get me on the line becoz she wants to 'chat' with daddy. She'd just go on and on and on about godknowswhat and everytime without fail when i come home there is ALWAYS that smiling grin and yell of 'AYAHHHHHHH!!' before the death lunge to hug me which instinctively made me go into the footballer's free kick hand position, coz at her height her love lunge hits me right square at my family jewels and believe me it can hurt as hell.


At night, she would insist on carrying on the conversation (which is normally one-sided anyways). There were times when I'd like to retire to my video den for some private R&R but she has come to the point when she'd just say to the effect 'I want to be near you, plse sit and play with me, ayah....'

...doesnt that just tugs at your hearstrings, daddies??! Now I am accused of neglecting the DVD player and speakers downstairs on account of my daughter's pleadings for my constant attention....Well, GUILTY as CHARGED so SUE ME.

And how much they shielded me from the tribulations of life and survival....for me to be just that.....a child. And so now, the wheel continues to turn, and the cycle repeats itself, generation unto generation.

The club was a nice, cosy place filled with regular old-timers. We were the youngest there. What caught our attn was a group of golden aged ang mohs, probably tourists. An old ang moh woman (ard 80's year old and hunchback) was dancing to the music of the Filipino singers there. She was so cute, so spontaneous.
If i ever lived to be so old, i hope i can be like her... happy go lucky,no worries, no more self-consciousness. That is life...*sign*...
