Robotic Lego. Its basically a programmable lego whereby you built and program the lego as to how it behaves. Pretty cool stuff. I know MIT students that study robotics use it to learn and built robots.

I think the coconuts there are young coconuts.. for their water...
old coconut better to parut and perah.. hehe

But what my ex-gf did the last time while in london was to have her mom pre-prepare the curry paste. Then just add oil, ingredients and water...

We dun use coconut milk for curry anymore...unhealthy. We use evaporated milk or fresh milk as an alternative. Taste the same if not better, and curry won't turn bad so fast. You can try that, Dino.

kerisik is a hassle lah! once, i actually bought a coconut (btw, dino can get old coconut lah - right in my grocery store oso have), broke it open, hand grate the coconut with a f**king cheese grater, then toasted and blend to make kerisik. took me an ENTIRE morning to do this!!! luckily ended up with enough kerisik to freeze and made rendang several times out of it (hoarded it like mad).

the last time, i caved in and bought the Mounds pre-grated coconut (for baking). it's pre-sweetened and not fresh, but the thought of breaking into the coconut (without a parang ok?? vin had to use hammer and chisel) and fighting the stupid cheese grater was just too much. i toasted up the coconut and then blended. it took a while and i had to add some vege oil (unlike fresh coconuts, this one did not release a ton of oil), but i forced it to become a rather light colored kerisik, but it made a decent rendang.

coconut milk i pakai the tinned kind.. :o

i don't blame you, dino. kerisik is a huge hassle. my mum says "just go pasar and buy lah" hhrrrrrr.... make me angry only... :squeeze: the Mounds pre-grated pre-packaged coconut was ok lah - at least i didn't have to grate the fresh coconut with a cheese grater... slippery wooo, i'm lucky i still have all my fingers...

probably kastam will throw out if they find it, but can try to smuggle loh.. what they don't know won't hurt them. hmmm wheels in my head are turning, my friend... what if i ask my mum to buy a bunch of kerisik and put in like a peanut butter jar or something? easy to transport and who would question peanut butter?

btw, nice call on the thread topic update...

I dealt with bluetooth in 2002...not bluetooth actually, but the PLI cells for bluetooth application. The R&D was not successful, cells either get pregnant of exploded due to overheating. But it was fun, we have fire-extinguisher everywhere in the lab.
