Years ago there was a group of Tai Chi practitioners from Kampong Koh who for some reasons I was told the police seemed to be running after them. These group of people because of the Tai Chi that they practiced and learned (especially the “Qi Kung”) make their body very tough and impervious to beatings and pain. So each time when they are caught instead of beating them into submission the police would make them sit on ice until they submitted to give whatever information the police wants them give. So there is one part of the body which cannot be trained but can only be use for making long calls in the morning.

reminds me of a hong kong movie that tells of a story about the police using ice popsicle to rape a suspect to make her confess. reason for using ice, leaves no trace on the vagina. reason for watching....no idea, it's on tv then. and the police got away with it.

these qi gung practitioners not power enuf lar. if they are power ar, can melt ice with their bon bon.

What an idea. Never thought of the A being trained to melt ice. If these tai-chi fellows can do that, I guess the police may have to freeze a melting plate in the freezer and make them sit on the frozen plate. ;)

I recall watching a documentary once about Tibetian monks able to withstand spending a night without any cloting outside in freezing temperature.

Few years back I was practicing the Falun Gong/Falun Dafa. Stopped the practise cos i read somewhere that it was banned in Singaporea and China.

Mind me asking what's this Falun Gong. I've read briefly in the papers and Times mag but never went into the details. I know it's ban in China because of their connection with the Tiananmen square riots. But is it a movement for you to practise Chinese martial arts or is it a religious movements or is it a political movement. To me the name suggest a religious movements.

There are some information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falun_Gong

Gist of it:
"a controversial Chinese spiritual movement which was introduced in 1992 by Li Hongzhi. Central to Falun Gong are five sets of exercises (four standing, and one sitting) that involve meditation and are said to help in the purification of the mind and the body. Many teachings are similar to those in Buddhism and Taoism — though it adds a conservative morality and several New Age and apocalyptic beliefs. Also known as Falun Dafa, the practice has grown swiftly in popularity around the world."

The problem started when

1) the does not follow the most fundamental of Buddhism or Toaism
2) They are politically motivated, they are against the Chinese Government

Please not that that was what I have read from some magazine 2-3 years ago
