I actually comtemplated to bring my family there in Dec but was advised against it. Very crowded, and not the full version yet. They will only complete the whole by June next year. Was it a worthwhile trip in terms of money value for you??

The one we went was definitely not the full version. The Small World wasn't there. If compare to DisneyWorld, this is just 1/8 of the size. Our patience were tested to the limit - weather was hot, queue was very long & there are many inconsiderate queue jumpers (esp. the mainlands).
I booked for passes for 3 consecutive days - but after the 1st day, we didn't bother going in anymore. Instead we toured the whole of HK via MTR & buses. I will post the rest of the photos later.
How to differentiate a HK & a Mainlander, HK girls love wearing boots.

Worst still for me - I was singing "It's a small world" all the way from KL to HK & till the next day only to #@$%$^# at the main entrance when I found out there wasn't one. The rest of the day, I was humming Eminem's Cleaning out my closet...

Also....i don't think i can stand seeing people jump que like that. It will definately drive my blood pressure up high!! Btw, do they have Fast Pass like the one in US?

Song CM, please check how big is the room they are offering in Central HK. We had a nasty experience b'coz we paid RM1k for 2 nites at Stanford Hotel & the room that we got is just enuf to fit a queen size bed & a writing table with little space to move about. We had to park Ash's stroller (according to advertisement when we bought the stroller - the no. 1 smallest & lightest foldable stroller in the world) in the bathroom. We had to fold it up b'coz it can't get thru the door. So did all the luggages went - into the bathroom.

That's what I was told, the mainlanders destroy/steal everything in there. Anyway, I will be making a trip to HKG and if I have time, maybe I will swing by the place b4 I bring my family next year. Thanks for sharing.

They do have Fast Pass facilities but they said that the crowd was not big enuf to issue them......every ride/theatre, we wait approx. 1/2 - 1 hr.
Surprisingly, we were one of the first kiasus to reach Space Mountain so we didn't have to queue long...in fact, my hubby walked in & he's in. For me, I waited 5 minutes. For Buzz Lightyear, we waited 5 minutes. Then the crowd came in.....
Good joke - while in Disney, we ordered burgers (I think it's called Astro Burgers) & in the menu, it said that it comes with a special sauce. After one bite, we found out that the special sauce is Lee Kum Kee Oyster Sauce.....adui...that is one meal we had trouble swallowing & they dun come cheap.....

Po Lin Temple, Lantau Island. This is a must go. Tips - dun makan, climb first to the Buddha. U need to buy "climbing" tickets which u can then redeem the tickets for vegetarian food at the cafetaria in the temple below. Tat way, u can save loads of $$$.
My hubby quipped that the storm clouds went away in a hurry b'coz I climbed all the way up....for somebody who is so lazy....a miracle......
Dun forget to go into the Buddha's interior - we got to see Anita Mui's obituary. Teddy bears, flowers, etc spilling to the floor.......
Another joke - as a big fan of Leslie when I was young, I persuaded my hubby to ask for Leslie's obituary. So in his broken Cantonese, he asked the keeper "Where is Cheung Hock Yau's obituary".....wah liao....kena marah b'coz Jacky Cheung not dead yet.

No-la....only 35C........the day before we flew off, Ash's doc advised us to bring our winter clothings. We brought one luggage just for our clothings only to find out that the weather was so hot when the pilot announced the temperature.

If u're swinging by there - take the MTR to Sunny Bay. Disney is just 2 minutes walk away from the MTR station.
If u're staying at any of the Disney hotels, just take the MTR to Sunny Bay, then catch the hotel feeder bus to the hotel - feeder buses are every 5 minutes interval.

i actually liked them both too... i was quite addicted to those cantonese serials in the evenings as well. plus back in the day, when i walked around in Ipoh, 100% of the time people will speak to me in cantonese, so it was useful to know some simple phrases (directions, prices, etc.).
