So, he's more like a MASCOT for the Pools rather than a goal-getter in the mold of Georgie Best, eh?
OK, I can live with that....

What Crouch contributes is actually uncertainty/disstraction up-front... especially during a corner or when there's a cross coming into the box. All defenders will concentrate on him and leave the strikers to score the goal. Like what happened to Argentina in the recent friendly.... Both Owen's goal came after Crouch came in. Crouch doesn't score, but he is very distracting to the defenders. With that kind of height, you need several defenders to take care of him.
Heskey was just a lembu liar... running here and there for nothing.

Good draw for England but never the case easy. All teams are good enough to win the group or even the world cup. All you need is lots of luck and peaking a the right time. England hasn't go the luck so far in the previous world cup competitions but I will still support England to win the world cup. I think the host will have the advantage, Germany will do well together with Brazil and Argentina.
can't wait for it to start in June. Atleast not like in 2002 where the games were played at 4pm, 5pm and 7pm during our office hours. This time will be the early hours tho. well what the heck, just have to get used to it. take MC lor the next day.

Malaysian Players.
Most skillful player - Azizul. He dazzled the crowd at padang astaka & TLDM stadium with his skills & superb ball control.
The fastest striker - Mokhtar Dahari. Fastest sprinter in the national team during his heyday.
The toughest player - Soh Chin Aun. small in built but tough in tackle.
The loudest player - Alka. Talk louder than the whistle.

I agree too... I don't think Lampard or Henry are anywhere near Ronnie's class. Nobody on the Planet is at the moment... (i wish i could say Riquelme is close...)
But i don't think Brazilian players (or most south americans for that matter) perform very well in the EPL, probably because the game is much faster...
I also feel Eto'o is the best striker on the planet at the moment... He deserves 2nd place more than Lampard.
But I am a Lampard fan... at least when he's not playing against Argentina.

It's the pace and the style of play - less tacticos compared to Spanish and Italian leagues - more direct and playing from goal to goal.
Heinze temperament and style suited well with the EPL....

Ronaldinho has got my vote. He would be even better (Lampard + Henry combined) had he play for ManUtd in the same league instead of Barca.
Yeah, what a waste. Ronaldinho could have been a Man Utd player. Well instead we got another Ronaldo??

It's the pace and the style of play - less tacticos compared to Spanish and Italian leagues - more direct and playing from goal to goal.
Heinze temperament and style suited well with the EPL....
Good la... then he can use the experience to stop the England attack in the World Cup.

Damn youse all argentina-haters!!!!
Funny thing, the same website also mentions Liverpool making a move on Argentina/Deportivo defender Coloccini... What say you Kochun? Good for Pool? Coloccini is a damn "ganas" player.
Coloccini was the one who made that Mexico player bleed from the head during the 2005 Confederations Cup match. More ganas than Samuel even.

Who the heck is this Coloccini? Frankly speaking, I have no idea. Benitez needs a replacement for the aging Hyypia. He is rather slow and does not score so many headers like he used to. He still reads the game well though.

i got a question...why nobody wanna buy him from Villareal? 2 expensive?? he is realllly good....
I don't think he's expensive... just that he's an out-and-out playmaker. Not many English teams play with a playmaker. The tempo will be too slow. Unless your playmaker is someone like Ronaldinho! (that name again)
If you notice Villareal games have a very slow tempo. Totally dependent on Riquelme's form. If you man-mark Riquelme, their game habis. But on his ON day, he's devastating - like against England the other day! Remember that England won the game in the last 7-10 minutes, AFTER Pekerman took out Riquelme. (he should have put in Aimar as replacement).
That said, I feel that Pablo Aimar would be a better buy than Riquelme... he's faster and more consistent. And he's been a playmaker from his youth days. Both Riquelme and Aimar were in the 1997 U-20 Argentina team that won the Youth World Cup in Malaysia. Riquelme was just a midfielder then, Aimar was the star playmaker. The then new Maradona (that name again)

thanks for the explanation....
yeah, I do agree that he cld be abit too slow for the EPL. But I was totally impressed by him in the England-Argentina match...he was so totally comfortable with the ball...the way he evaded the English players...fulamak....i think he is one of the players to watch in WC2006...apart from Rooney... :D

BTW, did you realise Thierry Henry, David Trezeguet, Michael Owen, Marcelo Zalayeta, Yanagisawa, Damien Duff, James Carragher all played in the 1997 YWC? Now they all superstars...

Yeah, agreed with you. Should play Park Ji-Sung in the middle. He is strong and win back the ball. seen it many times. He is on form. And now he has scored his first goal. expect more coming from him. I guess it is just the rotation policy that AF has i guess.

That's the whole point of EPL - until this stupid continental thinking of rotational policy gets in - the best man gets most game.
Those who fool around please sit outside the park and watch the star strut their stuffs!
Only then, MUFC can be GREAT again.
Manager - my personal preference - Steve McClaren. Assistant- Brian Kidd.

oh... ok...
overall yes, i'm happy that fowler is back. there are pros and cons though:
PROS:
-he loves the club
-he's one of the greatest finishers of his generation with andy cole, if not the best. doens't look nice, but very effective.
-he loves the club
CONS:
-he hasn't been doing well for a while now since going to man city and even in his last year with liverpool.
-he's in his 30s now.
-he's unfit
hopefully dreams come true...
i think fowler and owen back together again would be a killer...can't afford owen though.

Hei Fulat
What happened to Arsenal lah? When you expect them to win comfortably, they go an lose to Wigan 1 nil. Aiya make me lose money. Cheh!! Don't want to bet on Arse anymore. Maybe the League Cup is not important to Arsenal. Only interested in the Champions League. Good luck man!!
They have turn from Hero to Zero in less then 2 years. Better start betting for Liverpool more chance.
Now watching the game against Bir. I think will kena thrash again. Damn crap team man!!

Sad to say, Cech was not in trouble throughout the match. The best chance was Stevie's volley, which was saved by Cech. Apart from that, no clear chance.

Alas, the learning curve is over - Chelsea has been beaten now by 3M - Man City, Man Utd and now Middlesborough.
Finally, the secret formula it takes to beat Chelsea now is either: -
(a) have 2 "Man" in the "Middle" of the park, I guess............
or
(b) using the Bookie i.e. 2 Middle Man....wahahaha...

Congrates to Liverpool. Played a great game. The Peter Crouch's header was no fluke and he deserve that goal. Liverpool also deserve the win!!
Poor Alan Smith. The way he landed "ouch"!!! must have hurt like hell man!!! but was a good block nontheless.
