Riding a motorcycle to work really save you a lot. Toll - FOC, parking also FOC. Full tank the most RM5.00. No more getting stuck in traffic. If raining wear a raincoat. No more jam also. Just be extra careful on the road i'll say.

SJ, you a bit outdated liau. My kapcai (susuki RG) can drink more than RM8.00 at one go. Last for about 3 days only. Petrol monthly about RM80-90. Toll is RM0.00 and sometimes still kena jam when it's raining and cars all go into the emergency lane and semua kenot jalan. Still very economical and saves time but really have to be extra extra careful.

Come to think of it, not fair hor.........such super bikes cost more than a car, and yet no need to pay toll. The gov should charge bikes that cost more than 10k.......

......I could swear that ACL software is purposely trying to send me to a mental institution....reminds me of the programming days when you are almost willing to bet your rocks that the logic of your analysis is right, but some half baked Access-plagiat lookalike keeps telling you are dead wrong.......good thing the years showed me the wonders of something called the workaround, and in this case it was ....of all things....the dBase III file format.....wha'??! :huh:

It was a very productive week....actually felt like I was earning my keeps, or probably wanting to finish off the last two audits for the year so I can have even more free time....I think (for now) am seriously thinking of getting meself a bike ..... and I got my eyes on the Aprilia Pegaso Strada, the kits for it look cool too...waiting to know what my financial damage's gonna be like. Went home and found Noor redesigned the master bedroom.....feels like I just employed an interior decorator....for gratis. :h: Oh yeah, Iman lost her tooth sometime last nite....so she is now according to my wife...'melopong'

Yup2. She went for a written exam simulation at the driving school. So me takes care of the kids. Elok pulak tuu biler mak diaorang takde itulah masanyer dema nak pangsai!!!.....tension betul.

Lepas tuu, we family went to Azmee's open house, and thereafter to Awie and Hanim's.....had a good long talk and Iman and Arwin buat macam rumah sendiri...Iman siap mintak Hanim buatkan dia Maggi mee kari....I pun tak tau nak letak muka kat mana.....but in the end both were wonderful outing for us as a family....

Just hit a good new mileage record today in the C5, 622KM on a full 66L tank of petrol, with the tripmeter showing I still had a good 95KM before running the car on fumes.....! Thats a theoretical 700+ KM....if we had still been on the old petrol pricing, I would've crapped on myself.

BTW I saw someone bought the new black Motorola RazrV3 at RM990.....soooo tempting.

Still considering the two wheel mode of commuting...this time eyeing the Aprilia Atlantic....itsa scooter, but bores in at 200cc....again the price is the killer....RM21,xxx++ :unsure:

I am open to suggestions, ball. Key req is comfort so I reckon the racing posture is out for me since the travel dist is 60km x 2 each day...... So far the Aprilia Atlantic look kinda upmarket and fills the 4 stroke engine requirement people keep insisting on me.

The posture chosen will pretty much define the condition that I'll arrive at work or at home in.

I am also not advocating the complete abandonement of the four wheeler txport mode, just cutting it down to when the travelling needs take me off the beaten path of working commute norms......

Did an experiment this evening, took the old (not toll road) home to see what the diff is. End result comparison:

Mileage : Toll road 60KM, Old Road 73KM

Time taken : Toll Road 1hour, Old Road 1.5 hours

Average fuel consumption (approx) : Toll Road 9.5litre/100km, Old Road 8.5litre/100KM

Toll charges : Toll road RM7.50, Old Road....RM1 !!!!!

I am most attracted to the toll rate, or rather lack of it, which means that I could be giving myself an extra RM420/month at the expense of more road travelling time and a 'snake-ier' drive. The reduced litre/100km could be saving me petrol money too....

What do you think forummers, should I now switch to 'old school'....and tell PLUS to suck on my exhaust fumes from now on.....???

That'll be my next field test, take the old road for a month, compare the gas that I'll pump in this month against last last month (cant use November gas readings, coz went for Raya in Ipoh ie more gas pumped) , and see what I get ......

Everything I do, I have to consider & think about my son.
It is difficult for me sometime to do what I like.

But i really enjoy the hugs, kisses, smiles, laughter & my son saying "I love you" to me
