If they R doing a good job then no body will said anything, but they R not. They R only wanted to make money out of people ingnorance and deciving the public. Look I give eg ok, a chinese sing seh in sitiawan telling people he's a doctor study in China and practice western medicine giving injection for beauty. Normally this Vit C injection was charge 600 per treatment but the fellow give this injection by slashing the price to 300. He where can give injection one. Never mind if every thing ok but he give to the wrong site and cause infection. So U said this thing is ok lah.... :mad:

All surgeons in the UK, new and old, take the title Mr (including myself also) as very respectful. My colleagues were ecstatic when they pass the exam, and immediately change the title on their name badge from Dr to Mr. But not many people (public) know of this.

About surgeon calling then self Mr just because They got a Tanduk on their head like a tumour started after they passed their FRCS(Forever Retracting Continueos Surgery). In Malaysia the same thing occuring surgeon got tanduk also, but when they introduce then self to the patient I'm Dr--- Not Mr--- if said Mr--- the patient will kick the surgeon out of the room. So this Mr is just to show off to the fellow none Mr- doctor and nurses. Aiyah why like that ah Dr Ho!!. If Surgeon said they can operate the body we O&G operate more important place ok. Thirst abated, energy replenished they continued their journey but within 5 mins of that pit stop they reached the end of the journey and they saw the sorce of the water - a drain . The drain from all of frasiers hill I think.

Dr. Paul Naik Soo Dee is definitely one of the best students ACS ever produced. Only happyghost can come close. They were neck to neck in academic results but I voted happyghost as the Model Student as he was really active in sports too. :)

As for who's Dr. Audrey Mah? Ask fishboy...her secret admirer!!! :laugh:

No offense and no disrespect meant to anyone. In all my 23 years of teaching in ACS, the best student that I have taught is none other than Dr. Ting Chek Lang. He together with his brother Chek Sing, are the big bosses in Ipoh Specialist Centre. I taught him in Form 1 when I was a teacher trainee. He was one of those who just wouldnt sit down when the lesson was in progress. Normally he would kacau his classmates. When you reprimand him he would sit down but it wont be for long. And you couldnt scold him either because when he sat for a test he would score full marks. Of course to me you can get all the answers correct, I would only give 98 marks and Chek Lang would always grumble that I was being unfair.

In fact when he did his post-graduate studies in Glasgow, I was told that the university there wanted to retain him as a lecturer but he turned down their offer and decided to come back home to work.

Mr. Ho Lian Choon, his Industrial Arts teacher told me that Chek Lang could draw a straight line with his free hand.

Actually they are my neighbours, but i was too junior compared to them.

Their old house is still there, just beside the rubber smoke house where we kids just loved to spend time playing hide and seek there, and that is once upon a time ago....:laugh:

Dr. Tay Kah Hay an anaesthetist in Sentosa Medical Centre in KL and one more Dr. Khoo Kay Tim a surgen in Tawakal Hosptal also in KL.

One thing worth mentioning about these two gentlemen is that:

1. When Kah Hay finished his upper 6, whilst waiting for his result he worked as a construction worker in Taman Pegawai. He carried bricks and cement whilst the development of Taman Pegawai was in progress. He stopped only when the HSC results came out. Of course I must thanked him for waiving his professional fees when I had my "frozen arm" fixed up by the orthopaedic surgeon and when my wife had her D&C done. When I was treated by the orthopaedic surgeon, he told the nurses in the ward to take good care of me because I was his teacher. Thanks to you Kah Hay.

2. About Kay Tim, he was my Shariman House captain. When he took over, the House almost became a champion after years of being wooden spoonists. One incident which has been etched in mind was that there was once I asked him to order two pails of ice water for our boys in the inter-house football game. At the end of the game, I saw him still standing by the two pails of ice-water waiting for the boys to finish drinking and then returning the two pails and cups to the canteen caretaker. I was very touched by his sense of responsibility. Many would have left the pails and cups lying in the padang which was a common complaint by the canteen caretaker.
