God's way of punishing Bush? Thousands of people died on his behalf?

The promise came with an expiry date. You can bet the petrol price will go up. The only question is WHEN it will happen.
the last few days was hovering at US62... now going up to US67 ade
Good one..... Will Bush be ready?
i don't think it's all down to bush. the US is a confederation of states via a republic system, so the states have a lot of responsibility too, plus it's also a huge country, so a lot of work to be done...
hopefully things won't be too bad. unfortunately there's still another 2 months of the hurricance season to go...

might be bad for the malaysian government to keep on subsidising fuel. it's already budgeted to spend RM $15 mill this year. it's a large chunk of the budget and a drain on the economy...

Rita is down to Category 3 at the moment, but that is still potentially > 100 mph wind. Probably touch land about now.
Got two sisters in Houston. They were planning to go Dallas yesterday but did not due to heavy traffic on the highway. They were staying put and would move to a closet should something happen. Do pray for safety.
Has anyone heard from Sophia Huang (from my year 83)? Last heard from her > 5 years ago when she was in Galverston area.

Rita is downgraded to Cat 1 in yahoo news. Be prepared for a massive traffic jam for people returning home. Wonder how many will get killed in the rush out and in of Houston.
