I went over the The Dark Lord with a fine tooth comb last nite....imagine my surprise when I found that the polystone cape....had something on it........it actually had PATTERNS! ..... unbelievable attention to detail. Tried to photograph it but I guess my camera is not up to capturing that level of intrinsic detail. I had to also put it lower in the room than on the subwoofer caused Noor is spooked to no end with it being so prominently elevated.

Yes sis its solid, the thing is made of solid polystone. As to how heavy it is.......close to 13kgs.

Just some on and off dusting will suffice, there is very minimal chrome sheening on it to begin with. THey wanted to capture the scene from the first movie as accurately as possible with this statue.

9500 pieces worldwide, as a guide the polystone statue of the Balrog appreciated by about RM1k after only 1.5 years...but its not the price appreciation that interests me....its like the book has come to life and they capture a frozen moment in time.....

I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend finishing the book FIRST. It would make the movie more meaningful, and some scenes would just sooo bring tears to your eyes.....REALLY! Coz they are lifted right off the book....('I asked for 1 strand of hair from her golden locks.........she gave me three'----Gimli son of Gloin, off the shores of Lothlorien)

Naaaa......i don't even use any of them. The memory card only 32mb...where got enough for music and movies. Headphones hopeless one somemore. Cover also hopeless. The only think i use is the PSP, the rest all i never use and all i replace with better one.

Well, I am bitten by the bug too. Actually these figurines are meant for my little rascal, but, I am a little addicted to it now. My home minister was complaining, 'lau liao' still want to play with those things...

My brother bought one small Gundam for my son 2 years ago. I tried to assemble it for him but some parts broke, so down to the dustbin the whole thing goes...but that was before I found out that toy costed my brother >RM20. :eek:

S$81.95 X 2.2 = RM$180++, still cheap compared to Jusco. Shirlene, bila nak datang Pulai Springs ???? Hehehee :laugh:

hey, those HG 1/144 can costs up to RM100 per piece.
For those 1/60 ones, there are some models costs ard RM180 before 20% discount in Penang.

But i don like to collect 1/60...too big to be displayed....
