This sunday is the day. Happy Mid Autumn to all. Have to wish now cos you know i'm not a weekend chatter.

Tasted my 1st piece of mooncake yesterday. It was melting in my mouth. You know ah... nowadays there are many types of mooncake. Those normal lotus paste with egg yolk is history. Let me see what i buy -

1) Toffee banana - Chocolate skin with lotus paste and center banana

2) Berry Cheese - Assuming berries and cheese inside.lol

3) Yam pun ada

Can't really remember la... haha

yup...tasted my first mooncake this yr 3wks ago...a sweet junior gave it to me...nyam nyammm...pandan-lotus flavour.

And guess wat....i will be celebrating this Mooncake Festival this yr...yup, coz at the Bonding Camp i'm attending, one activity is Mooncake Hunt (sempena this festival lar)

I remembered those days when I was still playing with the lanterns. On one ocasion, my younger brother wanted to play with my lantern for a little while. I thought that being a big brother, I had to be magnanimous. So handed over the lantern. After handing over the lantern to him, within less than a minute, lantern terbakar. demn :mad: at him. The following season, I had a battery lantern. Again he asked for permission to play for a while. I thought this time sure cannot bakar anymore. Afterall it was a battery lantern. After handing over the same to him, within less than 5 minutes, lantern not functioning because kena short circuit. Demn suei man.. Frm that time onwards, I didn't want to let him touch any of my lanterns.

Yup! Sure beats those incredibly corny ones they come up with nowadays.My 2 younger kids were given these battery operated ones that have a pikachu doll with a fan attached to its stomach, in a transparent casing filled with styrofoam beads and when you switch it on,walah!!the whole thing lights up and this painfully irritating song comes on, while pikachu starts a styrofoam storm in the "lantern"!!! :rolleyes:

me never really owned or have a have lantern those days

I made my own lantern from Milo cans (poor man's lantern)
Cut it up & pressed it down a little
Tie it with a string & put in a candle

Year after year I will be making it for my brother.
The only happy moment is able to have a better meal that night:)

Early birds get the early worms. Sorry you are late :p . Hehe... actually hor, the bigger plate was for early guest and the smaller plates was for some VIP. So I put them away in the kitchen. When the party finish, all washed up, was about to go to bed haha, saw that plate sitting in the kitchen. So I had them all for breakfast the next morning.
