Can you stomach the ever increasing number of American dying every day over there and Afghanistan.....its so sickening dying for an unappreciated cause, that I feel a song coming on...

(To the tune of "If You're Happy And You Know It Clap Your Hands")

If we cannot find Osama, bomb Iraq.
If the markets hurt your Mama, bomb Iraq.
If the terrorists are Saudi
And the bank takes back your Audi
And the TV shows are bawdy,
Bomb Iraq.

If the corporate scandals growin', bomb Iraq.
And your ties to them are showin', bomb Iraq.
If the smoking gun ain't smokin'
We don't care, and we're not jokin'.
That Saddam will soon be croakin',
Bomb Iraq.

Even if we have no allies, bomb Iraq.
From the sand dunes to the valleys, bomb Iraq.
So to hell with the inspections;
Let's look tough for the elections,
Close your mind and take directions,
Bomb Iraq.

While the globe is slowly warming, bomb Iraq.
Yay! the clouds of war are storming, bomb Iraq.
If the ozone hole is growing,
Some things we prefer not knowing.
(Though our ignorance is showing),
Bomb Iraq.

So here's one for dear old daddy, bomb Iraq,
From his favorite little laddy, bomb Iraq.
Saying no would look like treason.
It's the Hussein hunting season.
Even if we have no reason,
Bomb Iraq.

That's all about big boys game. We are as insignificant as most of the human in this planet. Republicans are like hawks. Once, Cheney ever advised Bush Sr. about "Star Wars" project but got huge criticisim from the senate and the UN on World Peace. Imagine they can just beam the destructive laser using satellite and similarly on missiles to any targeted city. So, in this case, who will be the dominant leader for planet Earth will issue the New World Order someday. Anyway, the project was turned down by the senate because of huge financial consideration and other political issues.

Lately, China has signed long term military training program with Russia. I wonder what they are up to because according to the Chief General(China side)... it is for better national and militaryndship between the two nations n times of threat!! I wonder will that statement concern the Bush Administration??

i belief it will concern to all nations in the world. if one nation improved their military and equipment, surely it will cause a panic/distress to other nation...

e.g. Chian cause the US ... some stress :p

Petrol soars to $2 a litre as oil output is hit
S'pore motorists hurt as US hurricane sends crude over US$70
By Erica Tay, Christopher Tan
Aug 30, 2005
The Straits Times
PETROL shot up to almost $2 a litre yesterday as fears that Hurricane Katrina would cripple US refining capacity sent crude soaring past US$70 (S$117) a barrel.

The price hike is the fourth to hit Singapore motorists in less than three months and means they are now paying over 20 per cent more for a litre of petrol than just six months ago.

ExxonMobil, the largest player here with 77 stations, made the first move, raising pump prices by nine cents a litre.

Its three grades of petrol now retail at between $1.812 and $1.927 per litre. Other companies are expected to follow suit.

Shell's V-Power, which already retails at $1.93 a litre before discount, will be $2.02 after the expected increase.

Exxon's move came after a dramatic day on global markets. US crude oil futures climbed US$4.67 within a day, to reach a record of US$70.80 a barrel, dragging down Asian stocks on fears that higher fuel costs will hurt economic growth.

The Straits Times Index fell 14.55 points, or 0.6 per cent, to 2,272 yesterday.

Faced with the hurricane threat, producers and refineries evacuated workers from Katrina's path, cutting crude production by more than one-third - or 633,000 barrels per day - and refinery output by more than one million barrels per day.

'If this thing knocks out significant quantities of refining capacity... we are going to be in deep, dark trouble,' Mr Ed Silliere, vice-president of risk management at Energy Merchant LLC in New York, told Associated Press.

Fears of a supply crunch in the US, with winter approaching, sparked an immediate jump in the futures prices of crude and end products such as gasoline.

'We can expect two months of lost production, and coming in the peak demand period, this is the worst possible news,' Mr David Thurtell, a commodity strategist at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, told Reuters.

The speed at which oil prices have risen has stunned many in the industry. It took more than eight months to go from US$50 to US$60, but only one month to rise from US$60 to US$70.

Fuel imports are already hurting Indonesia, where fuel subsidies are so heavy that premium petrol sells at roughly 50 per cent below world prices.

The ballooning fuel subsidy bill and widening budget deficit have sent the Indonesian rupiah plunging against the greenback.

But Singapore has weathered the oil shock well, partly because the local marine and refinery industries have been doing a roaring trade, said DBS senior regional economist Chua Hak Bin.

Even drivers seem to be taking it in their stride.

Independent fuel consultant Ong Eng Tong said motorists would be unlikely to start cutting back until petrol 'hits $2.50 a litre'.

'I think that is when people will start to wake up,' he said.

Veteran car dealer Lee Chiu San, 59, certainly doesn't need the wake-up call.

'I remember when petrol was $2 a gallon,' said Mr Lee. That's about 44 cents a litre.

'I was in National Service, and I was riding a 90cc motorbike. I used to fill up for $1 each time.'

I guess it will be for a better world to have a balance in military forces on both sides. The world was far more peaceful in during the cold War period than under the New World Order... Total disregard for UN.
