If you look at the porcupine closely, the thorns are on their back, hence the private part is at the bottom. I think they do back to back style o--><--o like this.

Porcupine is waay bigger and yes, the torn longer. I seen a lot of hedgehog when i was in UK....dem cute but the spikes dem sharp....you can hold it in the palm of your hand.
