Are we all avatar-enabled or not? Just wondering cause I have some an avatar or two I'd like to try out in these forums. Thanks.

Sir, yes the forum is avatar enabled. I would appreciate however, if you ensure that your avatar file size is reasonable :)

I tried it in my User CP, in the Avatar selection page, and I still can't. The "Do not use any avatars" option seems to be stuck in the disabled position. Any ideas to how to solve the problem?

hisham, i just fixed it - please try again.

i've set the limit for avatars, pictures and attachments to 2Kb only though.

Um.. sorry to bring this up again Boss. But 2048 bytes is pretty small for a 80 by 80 px avatar. Something that size usually amounts to about 5-7 kb. This is the avatar I was thinking of using... it's 40 by 40, and the size is about 3.3 kb.

Oh yeah, thanks. He just passed his 2 year mark last September. :)

On a related note, I can also provide custom avatars for any forum member that require it. All they have to me is to email me the picture they want converted and if they want any touch-ups done to it. Then I can give them the avatar based on your regulations.

I second the bigger avatar file thing - certainly 2kb is a bit restricting... less than 10kb like the limit set on personal section bit sounds more reasonable

Let's compromise at 5KB first. Remember to bring this up again later and we'll reconsider :)

I've just reset(sic) the limit to 5KB... You can try again now.

Oooiii!!! How come mods cannot put in avatars??? I still see mind set to one option which is "Do not use avatars"...
