View Full Version : Tesco has turned into Giant?
went to the newly opened tesco in shah alam... thot it would be better than giant... my, was i wrong... that warehouse has turned into a giant (pun intended) picnic spot... couldn't even push my trolley along the aisles... never going back there again, for sure!
why do m'sians like to "hang out" in hypermarkets? many of them just pushing empty trollies or put their children in them... what r they thinking? that it's an amusement park? as a result, people who need to buy stuff waste their time navigating thru' the traffic...

These places offer all sorts of things at a very reasonable price. The stuffs there are fresh. I personally like to shop at Tesco and Giant but I don't like the queue when you want to pay.

dun get me wrong, we used to visit supermarkets in the uk almost everyday... but somehow the experience here has not been that great... dun u get frustrated when u can't even move, due to either the narrow aisles, haphazard arrangement and trolley joyriders?

Buff, do you know that new hypermarkets offer items cheaper than any of their branches without advertising in the papers? That is the time you can stock up groceries for a year. Yeah! I did that when giant and tesco in Klang was newly open. The things there dem cheap. But after a months no more liao. That is their way to attract crowd.

If you buy canned food, oil or oyster sauce, you can't keep them in the bedroom right? That is why i say i have a lot of cabinets. :p

I heard tht Makro is the cheapest, but have to buy in quantity and cash basis only, unless you have Makro credit card. I think lots of mini marts owners go there to buy.. ;)

Tesco and Giant tak ada club card thing. How i wished they have. Normally i do all my groceries shopping there. But lately I discovered Mydin. CHEAPEST among all. Food wise very very limited and not that cheap. But toiletries, etc gosh! you won't get that type of price anywhere, anytime.
