What's the worst thing your housemates have done to you, what's the thing that you hate about them....
Perhaps, you are a bad one yourself...
I hope when we share it here, we can learn from one another's mistake and live in harmony with people..

I have a housemate, and she's very very young though she's 22 this year. She can't cook, can't wash, can't do anything at all. I told her, she must learn and since she has a bf now, she must look forward to a future... meaning, to be able to do things that a woman should do... and she replied flatly... "Ohh Im going to get a maid!".. i was speechless..

okie...im waiting for my ride to uni...delay in plan abit...so..VC :eek: tatz eiiiiiiiiwwwwww.......can imagine...i had housemate who's leave the bathroom with a bunch of hair (souce not oni 4m head yea) collected at the bathroom outlet...and though have told numerous times to remove it, nahhhh....juz cant be bothered...same person had complaint to me bout her ex-hsemate (whose room i took over) tat she was unhygieneic
same person once made a big scene of a piece of cloth being soaked in bathroom for 2wks...claimed d stench was :sick: and ordered me to immediately wash my 'stinking cloth'...when i said it wasnt mine...she tak syiok wei...she fished out the shorts...and speechless + quizzical look on her face :squeeze:
"how is it possible...its MINE?"...haha, but she never answered me as to how cud could it have got in there...did a ghost do it...mystery eh? guess wat...i was ROTF LMAO in my room after tat horrr...

oh yea...so all of us who have good housemates/roomates muz be really lucky people...hope stories here willl make us feel....my condition not so bad afterall! and i believe most hsemates will definitely have problems along the way...no 2 people can be perfectly compatible....

yea...i had a superb roomate in 1st year. she's a punjabi gal...haha...exactly like me!! haha..infact i think she's got lotsa patience!

Hey! I also had one housemate who is just disgusting. He too never flushes the toilet after a boo boo.(mind you- a squating type toilet!)Then he farts all over whether you have friends over or not. my freshman year of college, i was in a dorm and we had a suite of rooms for 6 girls. anyway, 1 of the girls was the MOST unhygienic person you will ever meet. she showers once every 6 WEEKS!!! yes, my friends, i mean WEEKS, no mistake. and she exercises - runs every other day, and stuff. she smelled bad. we gave her her own room because we couldn't share with her. she was too disgusting. she left open food containers everywhere and it smelled like the garbage dump truck in her room. and funnily enough, she insisted that people took their shoes off in her room. i say WTF?? she cares that we track in dirt to her room but the 5 open yogurt containers from last month sitting right there on her floor next to the 2 week old sandwich (and fruit flies and other critters) is not a problem???? :sus:
my goodness! we were forced to share living space with her for 1 school year (2 semesters) but after that we kicked her out. phew! i mean i'm messy and i leave books and papers around and stuff (i call it a "disorganized mess") but we used to call this particular roommate an "ecosystem" due to all the things that grow on her and in her room. god knows when or if she ever did her laundry... :sick: :sick:

your housemate situation is almost like my roommate last time...
he's a indonesia chinese, study in APIIT too. i can see he's not the tidy person. never wash the bathroom, toilet, swept floor or mop floor before. as you know, mostly student house have duty roster where individual will do cleaning each week. so when i want to assign him to do like sweeping the floor, he mumble mumble and not happy. he said his mum never asking him to do this thing and he wont do it. i was soooooo angry that time and ignore him. indirectly having some arguement...
worst is his younger brother... his bed sheet from white turn to dark brown, still didnt bother go to wash. i think at least use for almost a year and didnt wash yet. same goes to blanket, pillow case.
this is worst case i see... "my mum didnt ask me to do it and she said dont do the job"... spoilt kids. average one month spend 1.5K....

another thing i really beh tahan her is that, she ah, dem kedekut...she has this facial cleanser...from blacksmore...i rmrb the brand even...she used that dem bottle for one whole year...her face is full of pimples...and she washes her face each time she comes back from outside...using a single drop from her precious cleanser...and rub and rub and rub and rub and rub and rub and rub for at least 1/2 hour!!!!!

my my... terrible housemates there matie... well, i have my share of it too...
third year in college, i have housemates that were not reliable at all...
hygiene : for one of them, clothes that she'd just washed and tumbled dry, she'd took it out and left them on the floor, right in front of the tumble dryer... and mind you, our tumble dryer was in the kitchen, near the hobs for cooking and all... even her undies were dumped on the pile like that..! and oh, making coffee means who lot of coffee granules spilt all over the kitchen top (she had parkinson or what?!), cups were always left out in the living room, kitchen, everywhere... always left dishes out, etc etc... so sick and tired of it all...
smoking : there was a non-smoking policy in the house (can smoke outside lar) but funnily everytime my cousins and i decided to not be in dublin, when we came back, the house inevitably stunk, and still there were serious denial that someone had been smoking in the house... "it's the wind blowing the smell in"... yeah, right!
missing food : and yes, food stuffs went missing from the shelves that my cousins and i shared, but whenever we asked, no one had taken anything... we wouldn't have mind they taking if they'd asked, but no... there were very big mice in the house then... why denied things that were blatantly obvious!?

there were two of them...A & J...
A can spend 1hour stirring her mug of coffee & drinking while chit-chat wif J...but cant spare 2mins washing up the mug, which will be left lying on the table...dining/hall depending on where she was enjoying her drink...worse is eat fruits, apple core etc...in the cup...in public area wei...if she wanna leave in her room, i dun care...but eiwww...
J makes cerealz...she oso got parkinson lar
and juz leava it...alasan, rushing 4 class...btw u come bek hor...ants having a fiesta!
worse is they lurve to cook...after cook hor...leave evrything lying around, dun even pour water into the pot wateva...and we shared utensils mind ya...tried telling them, they were furious
said i was trying 2 "knock sense" into them...tat wasnt my words mindya...their own words....after mths of washing after them (coz used to share cooking)...started cooking on my own, and got my own dishes...coz got fed-up & :sick: of using unhygienic dishes...funny thing after a 1wk break...came home 2 see 1 whole pile of dishes in the sink, till u can even turn on d tap..piling so high! and when i asked...selamba..oh, its been there like since last friday (3days dee)...and it was still there for another good 3 days! till they decided to wash at last.....grumbling how unfair life is, tat they hav2 do all washing etc :wacko:
and when i suggested wont it be easier juz wash immediately after & not when pile like tat...and dirt oso accumulated so long..smelly...J went like "wah....u think u so great ah...even my mom never ask me 2 wash dishes at home, if i wan h20 oso, she bring for me...after i finish, she wash for me, and u asking me to wash my cup/things immediately! is the stench bothers u...or dishes sore to ur eyes, y DONT YOU WASH IT!!!"
thatz it la...we fought...with her hurling abuses :crying:
i was sooo sad....wat 2 do....i isolated my stuffs...and since cant tahan house condition (xm...so too busy to clean, i decided cant cont being the maid of 2 spoilt kiddos! so for 2mths nearly...i took in all my things into room, and LIVED in my room)
sigh....sigh....a wonder i didnt go nutz...more story to come...haha, wait la yea;)

as i mentioned in prev post...both A & J damn spoilt...they dun realize if they r the queens at home oso oh....but dare to ask me y if things bother me, i shud clean after them...

everyone knows their part, we have cleaning rota going, as well as cooking rota...

i'm all for live and let live, especially if they are in their own room - but if the room smells like the garbage dump truck like my freshman year roomate's did and for the sanity and health of us all we kept her room door CLOSED TIGHT and each of us carried around disinfectant and we were constantly spraying disinfectant in the air as well. so serious - she was such a disaster! nice girl, but (a) take a shower every 6 weeks is just downright nasty, and (b) all open food containers left there for weeks and months just sitting there makes our entire suite smell. it is just too damned disgusting.. :sick: :sick: even though she had her own room.

yea, the main purpose of this thread is to learn from one another's mistake... like what I said, maybe you are like one of the worse housemates.. :)
Neway, everytime when i cook (esp when funkmeister is around) i will never fail to ask her to eat along. And guess what, yday her boy boy came annd she cooked dinner, she didn't even bother to ask if I want to eat along. That's fine, so I just cooked my own dinner. She cooked chicken herbal soup in slow cooker (that's the ONLY dish) and I cooked black sauce beef with ginger and fried prawns. She saw that its a nice meal, and asked me if she can have some if the prawns... ??? :amazed: so selfish man.
And after cooking. Good enuf she washed up her own plates. But the slow cooker and the pot she used (for her so-called tong sui), she just left it there. Before this, I would clean up for her, but if I keep doing that she will never learn. So I decided not to do it for her and tell her that I shall leave the pot and slow cooker to her.
She didn't even answer me if she's going to wash up or not. So, fine.. I just put all the pot and slow cooker into the sink. If she doesnt wash up, then we won't be able to use the sink..

of coz its a prob if u gals share ur utensils lo...

there are lots of story about my housemate.
there are one couple staying with us... bf and gf.. havent married yet. sometimes can hear them screaming and shouting at one another... calling pig there and here... scolding one another. my housemate and i look at one another *no eyes see*. sometimes cant bear with it...
sometimes can see the lady, wrap with tower and come out from the room and go to bathroom. i was :O... so open one meh?

You have a rich family. All your family members aka uncle and grandparents always give you free handphones. One time, Uncle gave you a free hp. YOu dont really like it, cuz not much function. Also you needed to get a phone line, so signed up for a plan. With that comes a free hp.
So the hp that uncle gave was left aside. One day, housemate came from oversea and has no hp, no nothing. You, kind enough borrowed your hp to her. After 2 years, you finally move out from the house. Housemate asked, if she needs to return you your hp. Will you:
a) just give the hp to her, since you wouldnt use it anyway.
b) take it back, whether you use it or not, its your problem.
c) sell it to her for $50.
Considering that you treat her as a friend, and she treats you as a friend also.

exactly... and the fact that I thought she treats me as a friend... eventho i complain alot abt her... but alot of things I never voice out to her... i just bear everything and not find fault with her, just so that there's peace at home. Still, that's how she treats me. She's moving out, and some furnitures, we bought together she didnt even bother to ask if she wants to pay me back. She only thinks abt ways to rip me off... wat kind of friend is that?
the hp thing was the last straw la..

Sorry to add more to your headache,Art... but for some people....if you invite her, she will say you only want her ang pow, if you dun invite, then she'll say you dun regard her as a friend...and the way you describe, she sounds like this type. So my advise is, do you really want her ard on your wedding day? No need to care about her feeling, your feeling is more important.

Got story as well, when I just moved out to KL for about 6 months. Was sharing a room with my elder bro. 2 other rooms in the house, one taken by another 2 gals (they're cool) and the last one by the chief tenant. Mad fella 30+ doing masters for who know how many years alreadi. The problem is onli with him. He puts a padlock on his door and we noticed the same on the girls door. Was wondering maybe coz the gals shy-mah need more security. I had a study table in the living hall with some personal barang there and never bother to lock drawers one. As time go by I noticed someone touching my stuff and when I talked to the guy (Ah piau) I reliased he knows a lot of stuff I never told him. Then it dawned on me that he was the one snooping around. Confronted him but he denied it. Later the gals confirmed he was the fella doing it. He would came back late at night and look at my stuff. Once he was going through the gals stuff as well and was caught. The gals usually tore up their letter after reading to prevent him from getting them. This guy will actually pick up the pieces and tape it back like a puzzle and read. Anyway, things got from bad to worse with surat layang on the house notice board and once I really wanna ask him to take it outside. But he goes missing in the day and I don't give a f where he goes. Then I went for sem break and when I came back, it seemed the landlord wanted the house back. So we moved to an apartment and all problem solved. Things would have gotten ugly if we stayed on...
