An excerpt:
The young girl and her mother are now trying to rebuild their lives after an 18-month campaign of harassment by Kathryn Skinner, the woman they thought was a trusted family friend.
Skinner, now 40, spiked children's drinks at birthday parties and put razor blades in school bags and lockers so her friend's daughter would get the blame.
She stole money and planted it in the young girl's bedroom, slashed the family's clothes and even faked hate mail from the youngster claiming she was being mistreated by her mother.
She did it in such a way that the youngster would be wrongly blamed - and she watched as the distressed girl was excluded from school, put into therapy and came close to being taken away from her distraught parents.
The campaign of terror began when the girl was only six years old.
Her worried mother, who sought help from the school, therapists and social services, confided in Skinner throughout the ordeal and was devastated to learn that her friend had plotted it all.

hm... I would agree that its mental illness laa.. or could be, Skinner envies the friend who has a beautiful family, or maybe she's in love with the father and envies the friend having a daughter or that....hm...
so many speculations... but im glad she has her punishment now.
Poor little girl... for no reason, her life's been shattered by these.

I would really like to read a follow up story on this. What caused her mental illness? How did she regard the poor 6 year-old? What are the separate families history together?
And how ARE they going to make up all the injustices done to the child? Even from her own misguided mother?

I think this will make a very good story line for a movie.
Anybody has steven spielberg's contact number?
how awful! the poor little child!! :mad: that woman somehow fixated on the little girl as the cause of her troubles or something... poor kid! i don't think spielberg will be interested in this story though - maybe the Lifetime channel?

More screwed up child abuse story today:
A 29-year-old Delaware mother and nurse, Stephanie McMullen (left), has been charged with the unbelievable crime of injecting human feces into the bloodstream of her two-year-old son.
Doctors at DuPont Hospital became suspicious after the boy was admitted to the hospital several times with the same symptom. They found he has a bacteria in his bloodstream that is found in human feces. Now, authorities say the boy's mother injected her own son with human feces. Police say she began injecting human feces into her son when he was 4-month-old. She is charged with assault by abuse. This investigation began in April when the police got a report of child abuse. Police say a search of the home turned up several key pieces of evidence.
