More description of the fruit.
Yellow fruit about the size of a tennis ball. Usually has a nipple on one end of the fruit. It is juicy with transparent flesh and a caramel like flavor. The tree is small to medium sized, 12 to 15 feet tall. It bears very heavily, usually in the winter time. Needs full sun and good drainage. Trees are fast growing and bear fruit in 2 to 3 years.

here's a pic comparing the normal and the UFO peach...

and a short report about it..
Flat peaches shaped like UFOs are proving a big hit in the UK as they're easy to eat and don't dribble as much juice when you munch them. The squashed looking fruit is selling fast compared to its circular cousins.
They're said to be a big hit with kids because their white flesh is really sweet and tasty.
Demand for normal peaches has dropped recently as more people are eating nectarines - it's thought some snackers are put off by peaches' furry skin.
It's thought the flat peach - officially called a Peento - was originally developed in China 4,000 years ago, because the Emperor Qi said he wanted a peach that was easy to eat and wouldn't drip juice in his beard.

he was quite shocked by it. ate like 6 pieces and thought about it a lot and decided he did not really like it. it was too un-fruitlike to be a fruit! :D
