I have just blasted my clerk a while ago.Whenever I check her work, almost every day I can spot 1 or 2 mistakes. The last straw on the camel's back was this morning. I could not get an order that I wanted as the mistake that she made last year (when I have yet to join the firm) was so fatal that no Judge could make such an order. Of course I realised the mistake after I joined the firm this month but it was too late. When I confronted her, she was blaming a former clerk and a former lawyer for not being thorough in their work. However, it was not so as I have clear evidence that it was her mistake. Further, this is not the first time that I discovered her mistakes. This leaves me no choice but to refile the whole proceedings again and this will naturally incur much costs.

I just want to know whether you have any encountered any of such persons in work. Do feel free to share your experience.

Yes! Most of the time finger will start pointing at each other
Boss will say. I don't want excuses
Give me a solution
One boss said "F@#$ you got time to find an excuse, you can find a solution

In my opinion, don't let the staff push you around
tell her who is the lawyer
Please check your work because you are handling the file now

I just can't tell her off by usual way as she is 'keras kepala' mann. For other clerks, when I point out their mistakes, they will accept it and will seldom repeat the same mistake but not her. Even though I have told her the correct procedure, she will still insist that her way is correct. At times, she will still insist on blaming others. What to do? I have no choice but to 'blast' herlah.

Last few weeks, my wife's company was like a warzone. A subordinate blasted his own boss as he thought he was right. Of course his boss also thought he was also right. So clashes happened. After much argument, the boss left the subordinate's room and went to his room. Around 15 minutes later (mind you, this chap had time to cool off during the 15 minute-break), this chap went to his boss' room and shouted "F*@# you". Every one in the office heard. However, this chap was lucky enough as no disciplinary action was taken against him.

Yes you are right about the "should"... which tells you what it's like in reality. I don't see it changing anytime soon, or later even.
