the club died ~4 years ago >< the books were absconded by the then head.... no one knows where are those copies.... damn

the quality of play has gone downhill ever since jee meng and his year left... my year and the two subsequent year still can manage... the subsequent years after that are bad... pure hack and slach.... no brainer adventure... the DM and the player can even get into arguement during the course of the game...

during uni year... we did played a bit under john ngoi... he came back for his summer break and boy we had a good time.... hehe... played adnd 2edition with all the optional rules ^^

later whan i was in the uni... not much kaki... until i met a few ex-acs... we played dnd 3rd edition.... now stopped again.... currently hanging on on CRPG... sigh...

Last two years or so I used to play with a bunch of guys in IRC. We use a dicebot to roll dice.

Now I just contribute to stuff on the net wherever I can, like the artwork for this page (http://www.verminary.com/rebellion/beyond_kalista.html).

Plus I just finished a freelance art job on a real RPG book in the US, called Future Players Companion (http://www.thegamemechanics.com/products/futureplayerscompanion.asp) for the d20 system, exactly like D&D 3rd Edition, but for science fiction adventures. The writers for this book have written stuff for actual SWRPG books and magazines before.

So now I've moved from playing to working behind-the-scenes. :D

wow... my dream job... sigh.... sooo wanted to work with TSR at one point... hehe.... d20 systems is widely used now.... so what do you think of the new star wars using the d20^^? is it a good thing that the same system is used in various gengre... brings to mind the previous attempt by palladium...

anyway... i like the d20 coz i am familiar with it... ^^ based on the adnd system ^^

Like all systems, got good points got bad points.

The Star Wars d20 system books are beautiful to look at, hard cover, full-color, great artwork... but the style of writing is a bit dull compared to D6. You know like you can read certain novels over and over again? Well, not the d20 books.

So now, Star Wars PCs got levels la. Can multiclass some more. Jedi Counselor lvl 5 Scoundrel lvl 3 Scout lvl 1, or something like that. Click on the Holonet link on my sig to read more.

me? left RPG quite sometime ago as no one played it in Uni. I remember playing also under John Ngoi during his summer break. Got a level 7 Elf Ranger (who don't?)

anyway, nowadays is mostly CRPGs, being Baldur's Gate I and II, and Neverwinter Nights. Took up Mudding, if any of you guys ever heard about it. Telnet Client text based only game. Very minimal, but very addictive. Used to play it like crazy in Form 6 but stopped, then start a bit again in Uni then stopped again. Nowadays did play a bit but since [f]ish got new gf, dun play that much anymore.

And he introduced this game called Maple Story to me and now being playing it every since a week ago. quite addictive, but still not much depth as Mudding i guess, but still, at least it has graphics.

Still, being Penang, not much RPG-ing around here

I tried email once, flow of play really way off because the GM was waiting for everyone to reply before going on. So, combat can take up to a week real time.

Pen & paper / tabletop is the best because you're playing between friends face to face, and you really have fun.

lol, email i've never tried, but tried website based for 3 to 4 years liou. a single combat can take up to 4 months actually, much much longer than a week. lol. dats the reason i quit, too damn long to finish one story line.

Gilaaa... That's why I either play real time, or not at all.

Sometimes I play on ICQ. Not face to face, but at least it's real time.

rpg.......those were days. always liked role playing my level 13 or 14 Halfling Thief character. zanon lightningray was my character's name. it will be cool to have every RPG player in here to scan and post their RPG character sheets in here for others to view.

one of the best time of my RPG days was in college. our games were based on the Penang gaming rules. i remember reaching the Demigod level. can even cast level 10 spells. i played a necromancer back then.

maple story ah... ^^ i know the game... still meh?? thought paying started up liao...?

anyway.... look out for DnD online... coming out soon... maybe can get to try out the open beta... if they have it... ^^

oh... btw... steven ngoi would never join ^^ talked to him last nite ^^

Talking about gaming... i got sooo many different character... though the two longest survivor are both clerics.... the one in Jee Meng's game (lasted 3 years ah?? and only level~8) and the one in John's game... (only a few month old but level 13) both is adnd 2ed.

For the third edition... i got a halfling rogue3 mage 4 ^^... too bad she got killed by the ineptness of my team member.... sheesh... well... i was overpowered and got dragged into a room covered with magical darkness... they do not know what got me... only heard me screaming... what to do... i was the scout and they were following behind.. ok laaa... so it was my fault in the first place... you know what they did? they stared at the room... while hearing me screaming away... they cannot see into the daskness... the sorceror in the group tried casting various spells to dispel the darkness... failed, failed, failed, welll since they do not know what is happening inside... they do not dare go in... sad... a few round later... they were pelted with my characters body part... sheesh....

okok.... a continuation of the story... subsequently after somehow manage to dispel the darkness, they entered the room... they found the remains of my body... (welll whatever remained that was not thrown at them anyway) sans my spirit... it was around the time when the DM got the vile book of darkness rulebook... they were so appologetic to me and i forgave them although i do felt some sadness at the passing of my character... well i am not like some player who cannot handle their character suffering permanent daeth.... hehe... i later make another kickass character.... a werebear monk... ^^ damn... the damage he can inflict... whew... just his minimum damage per hit is ~10 point of damage... that is 1 hit and without rolling the dices yet ^^
