Nope, some she get from others. Last time (5-10 years back) used to own-made more. Spend too much time, got to wake up very early in the morning and sleep late at night. Pity me, kena work OT jugak. So, not worth the effort just to make a little extra.

Nowadays, only fry beehoon and mee, groundnut soups and sometimes bak chang. That's all. :)

Nowaday can buy bak chang leave anywhere in the market. Some are planted locally, but my mum told me those imported from China smell better. Not sure whether true or not, as I am only interested in what's inside. After eating, still gonna throw the leave away wot.

Else you can make the bak chang, and replace pork with chicken. I think lots of places sell these now.

I guess you must be referring to the new Kamdar in Sri Manjung. It would be great to enjoy cendol in a better environment. The one in front of the temple is just too hot.

i'm with you, chris! although while i lived in boston i loved being in the city, i didn't own a car and did a lot of walking, training and bussing. :) and now i don't think i can ever go back. small town all the way, babyyyy. we settled in a small town too.

Well diff people diff preference.......I was in K.L. for a few yrs after SPM. I did like it at first, but after a while, I realised that I still prefer the simplenest of a kampung life.
Like for those of U who are working there, city life offers more challenge, more excitement and fulfilments than kampung life could offer and of course, better job offers and pay.
One thing that's important is to be able to like where U are. :)

i wouldn't say i'm a type 'a' person but i do try to fit more than 24 hours worth of stuff into 24 hours, but the way i look at it, by not living in the city i can actually cram in MORE stuff, because i don't have to fight traffic to get from place to place. fighting traffic to get anywhere, i don't consider a worthwhile task! :D that's my biggest complain about KL lah - want to get anywhere must be prepared to get your blood pressure through the roof, plus get sore throat from screaming 4-letter words to the crazy other drivers, plus make my middle finger tired from always flipping the bird lah! so i let hisham drive and i sit in the back and quietly swear at the other drivers (my nephew in the car, mah - cannot have him learn to say "f**k" in about 50 ways from his auntie - nanti kena ban terus from hanging out with him :p)

My hubby and his bro bought it b'cos they used to travel down to K.L. for collection, and also b'cos his bro intend to send his kids to study in P.J. So after the kids finished their studies and my hubby and his bro no longer goes there for collection when their bzness is now more in S'pore and Japan, they decided to sell the house when the offer was good.
And I love dogs too, have 2 at the moment. Love cats too, but since dogs are more practical since my house here was broken into twice, we decided to have dogs.
