Following Voon Chan's suggestion to use real names, please participate in the poll.

JC, I think by not specifying the real name, it is more FUN. At least fellow members will be guessing and communicating for some time. At the end, I am pretty sure they will find out the actual person if they persist. I don't think there are members here would like to remain anonymous forever. Right?

Therefore, I've voted for NO.

Not going to poll on this. my answer would be no and name to be in their profile. Don't understand why they want to come in and stay anonymous for that long as tho this is some sort of guessing game.

okok... something just struck my mind. Why not those using anonymous or nicknames, once their identity is revealed, their name will be posted in their profile. This way, any new commer would not start asking who's that person. This is to save time and chat screen. Hehe!

My vote....NO....period. I think we should let people be who or what they want to be. If they don't want to identify themselves, let them be and as Da_boss say, sooner or later that person will not get any attention from anyone. Lets learn to respect people's privacy.

If you want privacy then just stay home. We are talking about ACS Alumni. This place is to get to know your old friends and not come in here and start some guessing games.

Ha Ha, that's a good one, Dino. Some healthy discussions will be good. Let the result of the vote decides.

What privacy? This forum only got intimacy. :D

As I have mentioned in some of the thread(s), nicknames are as good as names. Even when Siew Jang uses her actual name, I don't even know her. I thought it was a nickname. Now we are so called brother liao...Jang hor.

I vote NO!

:p

I too think that nicknames should be allowed but real names should show up in the profile. Having an ambiguous nickname and getting people to guess who you are is akin to turning up during a alumni gathering with a paperbag over your head and asking people to guess who you are (be it easier in real life - both to guess and SMACK the person on the side of the head). My 2p then.

DocMac, You really put it in a very nice fashion. I couldn't agree with you more.
