i had a housemate in uni who used to write stories like that.... always cheered me up during my dark thesis days.

He had one titled Kuppu's Tumbler, the funniest piece of slap-stick short story in history.... Its about a tumbler owned by some guy named Kuppusamy which gets stolen. The ensuing chase will make LOTR look like a kiddy story.

the dilemma is: Should i penalise the student for his poor command of English, but the science concet that the poor boy is trying to explain, i understand.. :confused:

be fair.. give marks but minus lah i think.. that's the best way..

i've seen some merciless teachers straightaway give a big X and then a 0 after that.. so sad.. but of course, those teachers have no choice lah maybe.. she's marking all those good students paper.. her hand itchy for some action of doing some Xs and big 0s.. haha

coz dt is already teaching sec school mah...so if the teachers there all pass him coz they faham what he wrote...then when he's in university already, have to write thesis and publish, betul tak?

"The farmer will save more expenses if use biologial control."

His teacher mark him wrong, (this teacher was my supervising senior teacher during my training. She herself not so good in English)
I apporached her and said that the answer make sense. She replied by asking me what's the meaning of expenses... she said she didn't have time to look up in dictionary, she she mark the student wrong!! :confused:

bring a dictionary with u next time. whenever she says she dunno, u take out and explain to her and then give her a tight slap. i guarantee u she won't dare to tell u she dont know next time. :)

ok, i think the teacher is being really unfair.. she herself dunno then mark wrong. if the student is a smart one, maybe in the end still can salvage some marks.. but if the student keep quiet, sure lose marks for nothing

maybe she had a traumatic experience last time during schooldays when she got 1/4 because she did the same mistake as her this student done.

anyway, sometimes the marks all depends on the teacher. sometimes it can be unfair sometimes it can be very fair. hhmm.. just be a fair teacher urself and u should be fine i think

Hmm....this punk has real potential....potential to improve. :)

At least his is daring enough to make all those mistakes. The effort is truly commendable.
