USD$45 * 3.8 =MYR $171 ....shit...thats too expensive.....i think there has to be a market for frozen ripe durians here in the US.....hmmm....maybe start a business selling such things!!

Hi, I had durian feast last week. The medical representative belanja. He call the whole truck and set up 4 tables and all we needed was to tell the durian seller what we want and it's on the table. To quence our thirst, we had some Pandan coconut. The "red prawn" was good, Lin fong chiau was OK, no. 14 was good too, D 24 OK also, other like green skin, milky paste so so. Didn't need to eat dinner that night but the next day have to go jogging!

wah leh! when it free flow--that is damned good. local durian you get the ultimate taste without the quantity but Thai variety you can't consumme too much! I can still imagine that day-- almost feel like you don't want the day to end or leave the place.

dino for your information, thailand durian no fight with our malaysian durian. talk about D24, D2, red prawn and other varieties will make me salivate.. *slurp*

anyway.. i think maybe local fruits in malaysia is considered very rare in US that's why it's expensive. and talk about they try to plant it there i doubt it'll be as good as in malaysia because of the climate and the soil.. it's different lah.. i guess the results will be different too..

anyway me a durian fan too.. crazy over durians.. haha

durian here, can get only thai durian... about 20-30 euro depending on the weight...
rambutans, all dark and wrinkly... would still cost about 1euro each! yikes!!!
longans, come in small basket about 500g or so... burn away 20 euro for those...

conclusion : stick to eating banana, oranges, apples and grapes... :(
(or if feeling a bit indulgent, small papaya available for 2 euro or so)
