what do u all think about this?
I have a friend who juz happened to be there at times of trouble & need, more like Godsent...and we can understand each other perfectly well...and i juz knew her well for <2yrs! Now...we joke that we are soulmates...haha and she once told me "Thank God u r a gal too...if u were a guy, my boyfriend would start getting worried ready" - tatz how well we connect emotionally ;)Thank for explanation. You have spoken on my behalf. I need not need to go on further.

and besides, think about it - how boring would a soulmate be? someone that understood you so well, and that you understood so well, that there are no more surprises EVER! :) my two rupiahs...
I disagree wif u on these...understanding each other doesn't mean u are a replica of each other (haha, tatz more like 'twin flame'). Each would still have their individuality preserved, but Sila...there'd still be room for surprises, and occasionally even misunderstandings :p
Oh....do check out the link i posted a few posts earlier to know more about SOULMATE vs TWIN FLAME...i wonder if anyone actually manage to kind their twinflame ever...

...waited expectantly for my "prince charming" and all that crap...
definitely the post of the day!!! :D
definitely the post of the day!!! :D
 happy to be of service, boss ;)
h2o, from the little i can see through your online presense, you're ok and i'm proud to have you as a fellow alumni forummer :)
how abt ok & cool?
call me pessimistic, but i don't believe in soul mates. i believe in the magic between 2 people if it is right, and i believe in being compatible in every which way, and i believe in finding wonderful things in unexpected places, but i don't believe in soulmates. i think when i was a teenager i did - waited expectantly for my "prince charming" and all that crap, but over the years i've realized that those ideals were just that, ideals, and every guy failed to meet my idea of "soulmate" - and we just end up hurting each other in the process.
i believe in love, friendship, loyalty, honesty, trust and faith. i believe it can come from anyone and everyone, man, woman or child. and euj's dad is right - if it is forced, you're doing something wrong.
when you find something or someone that is right, you fight for it/them. and for me, that is more than enough.
and besides, think about it - how boring would a soulmate be? someone that understood you so well, and that you understood so well, that there are no more surprises EVER! :) my two rupiahs...
it's realism
good to see that there are young gals out there who have moved outa la-la land.

yes there is - pockets of hope here and there - just enough to carry us through everyday :)

oh euj, i'm not saying there's no hope. of course there's hope. just because i don't believe in soulmates doesn't mean i think the world is rotten and crap.
since i stopped believing in soulmates i have been the happiest i've ever been in my life. all the people i went to college with say that i am the most content and stable i've been since they've known me. it's like believing in the tooth fairy - when you stop believing in it, doesn't mean you stop believing in magic. just is so unrealistic that some fairy runs around giving all the kids whose teeth come out money!! i just think the magic is much more real if it isn't a blatant romanticization of real life.
(of course, now you ppl are really going to say i'm pessimistic if i equate soulmate with the tooth fairy).. :)
yup, life is not that bad... actually it's quite good...
