They had choice for three colours, Royal Blue, Black or Red.... i wanted Royal Blue, but Yamaha Malaysia had stock only for a Red. When they took it out from the box, I straight fell in love... Red is bloody cool, man. So i took it.

I also use a MXD-30, 30W Laney Hardcore Amp with built-in effects.

I want to make a katana... keris making is very close to the katana-making process. The western swords slightly different process.

You can make your own Narsil/Anduril... with an actual cutting edge unlike replicas. Then Engrave "Narsil essenya, macil, meletya Nazlan carneron Melaka" :)

Getting very long in the tooth, its only a Pentium 4 1.7GHz with a 128MB nVidia Ti4200 VGA card.RAM is 512MB though. Thinking about shoving in a P4 2.4GHz HyperThreading CPU and a nVidia 6600 VGA, but dont see that happening unless my PC gaming activity picks up if not cannot justify to 'Home Minister'.

Cool man.... the next guitar i'm buying must have a Whammy bar. Thinking of a Strat.

That's not my own guitar in the pic.... i took that photo from Yamaha's Website. But that's the exact colour i have.

They had choice for three colours, Royal Blue, Black or Red.... i wanted Royal Blue, but Yamaha Malaysia had stock only for a Red. When they took it out from the box, I straight fell in love... Red is bloody cool, man. So i took it.

I also use a MXD-30, 30W Laney Hardcore Amp with built-in effects.

My playing playing still crap though...

strat will be way cool, US strat will cost a bomb though, whammy bar?....hmmm, buy ibanez JEM lar ....heh heh just jokin as it also cost a bomb nowadays .....Bentley music decides on the price wat to do...... :(

yup the red AE was damn cool.......

I use an obsolete CRATE amp, so i depend on my BOSS DS-1, an old Zoom Preamp simulator and my BOSS wahwah to get at least a decent tune nowadays. ;)

1) haha...i sitting...u must be crazy.....this is wat we normally do
a) stick those small parts together...there are many levels is depending on how many parts they are. Like Revell, the normally assign the level of difficulty from 1 to 5 (5 being the most difficult) i normally do those at level 3-4 (ard 120 parts...) this gluing process will normally takes ard 3-4 dats as u need to wait for the cement to set as well
b) paint them....this is the most challenging part for me as i guess i don hv an airbrush. Hand painting does not produce very good result. Using aerosol can is better but it is quite difficult to control the nozzle. I am thinking in investing in a set of compressor n air brush. The painting will take a few days
c) applying decals (stickers) on them. This is pretty ok. Will take 1-2 days
So, all n all, if you contentrate of it...maybe 2 weeks to complete the set...

2) yeah...i bought 2 glass shelves (from IKEA...RM250 each)...with 4 tiers to house my stuff...but running out of space...i put the shelves in my dining room...but i did convert one of my bedroom into the workshop...the paint spraying can be pretty nasty....

3) Yeap...paint n stick them...

really, it is not dat difficult...i don see myself as a artistic person but i do find this plastic modelling thing is pretty fun and challenging....

Hey, talkin abt the Star Trek....I saw Revell has some...ard RM120 per set...nearly bought them when they were 50% off but was not ready to start on spaceship....somemore, they only had those Klingons spaceship n not the Enterprise...

jus to clarify...I din built the cars...those are metal diecast....u do get plastic car kits but u really need a air brush to spray the mettalic paints...Anne did buy me a WW Bettle plastic kit but I have yet to built them...

Pioneer DVD-665A DVD player. This guy is 2 years old but still one of the very few that oledi has capability to aso play DVD-Audio and SACD right out of the box. The triangle on top is an ivory vibration dissipator, supposed to improve the picture quality. 'snake oil' mebbe, but the guyz at the AV Show sure as heck convinced me with live demo.

I'm waiting for good SACD players to become affordable. You can get some decent SONY, Phillips and Pioneer units (combo DVD & SACD players) locally... but the real good stuff are American and they normally cost upwards of RM8000!

If you willing to spend upwards of RM8k for a DEDICATED SACD player, then you better be willing to also spend on speakers, cables, and preamp/poweramp that also costs mucho moolahs! pairing those kinds of players with an 'P Ramlee-esq Antara Dua Darjat' kind of setup, you gonna be shortchanging yourself, expensive goes with expensive, sad reality of the AV world.

With that said, I am quite contented with my combo JAP/BRIT 'medium range' setup : Pioneer DVD 665A (can play both DVD-Audio and SACD), NAD C160 preamp, NAD C270 poweramp, Ixos interconnects, CHord speaker cables, and Wharfedale Diamond 8.4 floorstander speakers. Get the speaker soundstage toeing just right, you WILL be happy.

However, if you want to go the RM8k level of equipments, am sorry buddy. that wan way out of my league (ie TAGMcLaren, Meridien, NAIM, Spendors). Me, I rather spend the RM8k on a Panasonic PT-AE700 projector to replace my PLV-Z1 Sanyo. :)

This behemoth, my friends, is a D-Box 'motion simulator' control center. It comes with 4 hydraulic actuators that you put under the video room seating.

What does it do you ask? It basically turn your movie viewing into a PHYSICAL experience. Tried a demo at AV Show with Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets, the scene with the car on top of the tree. This thing whacked me left right and center everytime the car got whacked.... I LOVED IT!!!!!!!

This one is a potential candidate for a 'mistress' <have filled up the quota of 4 wives :sad-2: )
