Dear Systems Analyst,

I am desperate for some help! I recently upgraded my program from
Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 and found that the new program began
unexpected
child processing and also took up a lot of space and valuable
resources.

This wasn't mentioned in the product brochure. In addition Wife 1.0
installs itself into all other programs and launches during systems
initialization, where it monitors all other system activities.

Applications such as "Boys' Night Out 2.5" and "Golf 5.3" no longer
run, and crash the system whenever selected.

Attempting to operate selected "Saturday Rugby 6.3" always fails and
Saturday Shopping 7.1" runs instead. I cannot seem to keep Wife 1.0
in the background whilst attempting to run any of my favourite applications.

I am thinking of going back to "Girlfriend7.0", but de-installing
doesn't work on this program.

Can you please help?

---------------------------------------------------------------------
AND THIS IS WHAT THE ANALYST SAID:
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Customer,

This is a very common problem resulting from a basic
misunderstanding.
Manycustomers upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 thinking that Wife
1.0 is merely an UTILITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM. Actually, Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM designed by its Creator to run everything.

You are unlikely to be able to purge Wife 1.0 and still convert back
to Girlfriend 7.0, as Wife 1.0 was not designed to do this and it is
Impossible to uninstall, delete or purge the program files from the
system once it is installed.

Some people have tried to install Girlfriend 8.0 or Wife 2.0 but have
ended up with even more problems. (See manual under Alimony/Child Support
and Solicitors' Fees).

Having Wife 1.0 installed myself, I recommend you keep it installed
and deal with the difficulties as best as you can. When any faults or
problems occur, whatever you think has caused them, you must run the C:
\APOLOGIZE\FORGIVEME program and avoid attempting to use the
Esc-Key.

It may be necessary to run C:\APOLOGIZE\FORGIVE ME a number of times,
and eventually hope that the operating system will return to normal.

Wife 1.0, although a very high-maintenance programme, can be very
rewarding. To get the most out of it, consider buying additional
software such as "Flowers 2.0" and "Chocolates 5.0" or "HUGS\KISSES
600.0" or "TENDERNESS\UNDERSTANDING 1000.0", or even
"EatingOutWithoutTheKids 7.2.1"
(if child processing has already started).

DO NOT under any circumstances install "BarGirl 2.1" (Short Skirt Version)
or "OneNightStand 3.2" (any version), as this is not a supported
application for Wife 1.0 and the system will almost certainly crash.

BEST OF LUCK!

Your Systems Analyst

no, i'm not a muslim.

this pre-marital counselling is encouraged by my church. i think its purpose (in a nutshell) is to give the couple a wake-up call as to what a marriage is all about. no, i do not think we'll be given a certificate :D

from what i've found out, each church will have a different set of material for this purpose. some will use a specific book (with the assistance of videos). for the one that i'm attending, we are given printed notes.

there are about 8 sessions. so far, what i've learnt is this:-

a. marriage does not end on the wedding day;
b. your spouse should always be your best friend;
c. always treat your spouse with respect;
d. both are equal in a marriage (exchanging views) but the husband should be the decision maker;
e. you will be a new family with your own rules/customs etc. try not to let a 3rd party interfere. the moment that happens, your marriage will be in danger; and
f. love - going to learn what it is this coming saturday :)

will share more next time, if you're keen :)

u can be smart. learn from fulat. stay away from problem. just don't get yourself into problem in the first place.

bro, thanks for the vote. really :D

yes, there'll be "problems" in life. agree with you on that. but i choose to accept them as tests to be overcomed. they can be resolved (sooner or later). without these tests, life will not be as interesting as it is now.

of course, sometimes, the fear/disappointments/tears/anger/resentment ("discouraging factors") will tend to be a bit overwhelming...but, with the support and/suggestions/opinions (whatever you may want to call it) of, for example, our dear buddies in the forum, i'm sure these discouraging factors will be wiped out. a little too positive ? ha ha ha anyway, i rely more on the "higher authority" for help these days he he he

i'm actually looking forward to the pre-marriage preparations, the wedding day and the marriage itself. should and ought to be the most interesting "challenge" in my life :)

A wise man once said that to be happy:

1. It is important to find a woman who helps at home, who cooks a decent meal from time to time, cleans up and has a job.

2. It is important to find a woman who can make you laugh.

3. It is important to find a woman whom you can trust and who does not lie to you.

4. It is important to find a woman who is good in bed and who likes to be with you.

5. It is important that these 4 women do not know each other.

I think still within the topic - topic related to the married couples.

Without a maid
1) Let say you have 3 kids and each kid cost Rm500 per person at the baby sitter. RM500 x 3 = RM1,500 per month <~~~ that's what you are paying.
2) Apart from paying the RM1,500 you still have to do all the cooking, cleaning, scrubbing by your self.

With a maid
1) Her salary Rm380 per month
2) She does all the cooking, cleaning and scrubbing but have to watch out for her hygiene. Sometimes, they just won't listen and like to do their way. Beware of things that-was-not-supposed-to-be-there in your food and drinks.

I think SPJE can add more.

anyway, ah jang, dun forget that rm380 is only the maid's salary... you also have to provide food and a bed. so overall cost is more than rm380. if i'm not mistaken, nowadays, it's no longer rm380 - it's rm450 now... :(

I think daLady is lucky she don't have to face the maid and do all the nagging as your mom is taking over her place. I don't mind to have a maid if my mom is staying with me. At least she can keep an eye on the maid. Saliver also not enough to nag a maid. Worst still when you are not at home most of the time and they are like a queen in your house inviting guys home or calling guys.

there are pros and cons by having maid or not.

for me, definetely wont hired a maid becoz i'll tend to be hardworking and exercise. probably need it when i grow older. so now wat for? having her is not convenience and recently having many bad news about maid... killing the employer, poison, pregnant, cabut lari and etc... end up might be paying more... :D just my humble opinion.

if hired maid, then will end up lazy... wont be doing housework. one day when the maid gone, jialat. dunno how to wash this n that... lagi worst. now the world live in very comfort zone...

everyone got their likes and dislikes about maid. What i felt is, when u started with one, you'll be stuck forever so if you've not started, don't think to get one.

Agree with what daboss said, so used to have someone cleaning for you and if you don't, you have to do it all by myself.

I agree with Jang, if someone is around with the maid, it will be better, else they have bbq without me knowing it. I wonder how those people handle 2 maids at home?

Agree with what daboss said, so used to have someone cleaning for you and if you don't, you have to do it all by myself.

I agree with Jang, if someone is around with the maid, it will be better, else they have bbq without me knowing it. I wonder how those people handle 2 maids at home?

my friends have started to get maids. one is already facing some "challenges". the other is praying hard that everything will work out fine. anyway, with the sort of stories relating to maids going around....makes one wonder ???? of course, not intending to generalise here (sorry if offend anyone)

anyway, just wondering: for those having kids and in situations where the kids spend a lot of time with the maids, care to share the experience ? just curious :D

i still feel, if u have not started with one, don't think about it. It does ease you a lot from housework or babysitting or .... but there are other prob that you will face day by day or month by month. Unless, if you have someone at home with the maid, than you can consider but think twice also la. Or you are very, very lucky to get a good maid.

Kids will get attached to the maid and will prefer the maid more than you. (My aunt's experience) This also depend on yourself. I feel that if you spend quality time with your kids this will not happen. My aunt leave the son to the maid, from the minute he wakes up till bedtime story... Imagine this...

As for me, my maid does all the chores and i take care of my own kids, bathing them, cleaning their motion, feed them.....If I punish them, they will not go to the maid to ask for help whereas what i saw from one of my friend, when mummy punish the child, he runs to the maid for help and poor mummy be the orang busuk and kakak be the angel, c the problem here?

If the maid do jampi than i don't know la.

my relative kena before once that when the baby is hungry, the maid fed the baby using her own milk... her breast milk.

my relative found out and sent her home right away. it is not good to fed someone using other ppl "milk" hmmm...

2nd thing is, now when u get maid, you have to pray hard that u'll get a good maid. otherwise jialat, cabut lari lah, got bf lah, pregnant lah... and etc... will give you headache and more time to send her off and etc... end up might rugi more...

alternative way is to get a maid to do house cleaning every weeks... like once per week. it will be good also... :D

My experiences with having maids - I thought it would be cool to have someone cleaning up after us. We got a maid from Sumatra - 3 days later, she ran away. We haven't even got down to discussing real work with her. We gave her time to adjust & to do light work. The agency got a replacement for us. We paid extra for a Filipino (who happens to have university qualifications). She is bold, bad tempered & she tried winning my hubby's heart. We fired her b'coz I came home early & found her having a party with a bunch of her friends (didn't know tat she has so many friends) in our house. So now - we do the cleaning ourselves & once a month, we get the temporary maid paid on hourly basis to clean for us.
