Do you think we should incoporate some forum Etiquette in this forum? Will members ever read & follow it?

My personal view, we should incoporate it!

We can certainly consider about that, VC.

One question, if member break the rules, how?

One question, if member break the rules, how?I am not really concern with breaking of rules or imposing sactions. My concern here is more toward a more civilised way of foruming. So everyone can have a good time in the forum. No body is offended.

If one want break a rule, moderator should be allowed to censor their posting or maybe issue them a formal notification.

VC, as far as moderating part is concerned, we are present most of the time. We also see that the forummers are rather well-behaved and nothing really offending. Whenever someone is offended, it is always good to voice it up, preferably through pm and settle it outside.

Yes, we do censor sensitive issues, vulgar words, offensive remarks hurled and etc. When we do that, we will normally a notification or gentle 'warning' to the necessary party. We have the right to ban the non-behaving members, but so far, as far as I can remember, we have not ban one single member here in the forum.

I am making a formal request that some guidelines to be set up. We are growing so rapidly. I hope my request will not be a burden to you moderators.

Sounded like pengawas giving saman, or HR giving warning letter..... Not that I didn't agree but was thinking that "Is it necessary?"
Just a thought :)

I think most are sensible and will not overstep the boundaries...nothing like self regulation...if not we will be like the PAS government who today issued new guidelines on attires for non-Muslim ladies. Aiyah! Treating adults like kids only. I think each of us know where to thread and where not to......what say the rest?? Not to say I disagree with regulations...a bit of it should be ok...

rules or no rules i find the ppl here very well behaved
we are all aCSian right and here to have fun and make frens
so whether we implement rules or not i think its ok
if the moderators feel like it is needed and u all have the time
just go ahead...but if u don implement it i feel its still fine

Basically I feel, we are all adults here, the youngest being the class of 99 and they are 23 this year....guess that's pretty much out of the adolescent phase already. Haha..no more teenagers with raging hormones..haha...I remembered there was an incident that was a little bit unpleasant but that's all over. Everyone seems to be having fun now.

This matter will be dealt by the moderators. They can handle it. Therefore, my suggestion is irrelevant

Why dun we take a step back and think. What was the objective of starting this forum at the 1st place?
1) to touch base with long lost friends and know each other better.
2) To know more of our junior or seniors.
3) Networking

Wih that in mind, I think self regulation should be sufficient and those that step over the line will not last long in here.

This is my 1cts worth of opinion. :)

This is my 1cts worth of opinion. :)I totaly agree with your noble thought. "those that step over the line will not last long in here." as you have said, but I am afraid if it is not regulated more members will leave as compare to those people that step over the line.

we are all grown ups here and all knows the objective of this forum. Those that step over the line will be ignored by others where the rest will still continue with their friends.
As for your worries, i think u r not looking at the objective of the forum. So far there are no offender of such. SO? why waste time on this issue?
