guys, i got asked this question and thought i'd share this with everyone. in your user control panel, in the edit options menu, there is an item called "default thread subscription mode". when you registered in the forum, this is set to "do not subscribe" by default.
you can change it to other options. if it is set to anything other than "do not subscribe", it means that when you post in any thread, you've subscribed to the thread. depending on the options you select, you can get the forum to send you an email whenever someone posts in the subscribed thread, etc. if you set it to "no email notification", it means that you subscribe to the threads you have posted in but the forum does NOT send an email to inform you of new posts in the thread by other members (it gets a little irritating if you get too many emails).
you can zoom into threads that ou have subscribed to by clicking on the "quick links" menu that exists on all forum pages and select "subscribed threads". by doing so, you can easily filter out threads that you have participated in before...
